This dataset was estimated by the TRIPLEX-Mortality model. The TRIPLEX-Mortality model was developed from the original TRIPLEX model, which has been widely used to simulate forest growth and C and nitrogen (N) dynamics in boreal forests. The physiological process-based TRIPLEX-Mortality model has been successfully validated against observations collected at permanent sample plots across Canada’s boreal forests, offering good reliability when estimating drought-induced tree mortality and associated biomass C dynamics.
