Thermophilic caproic acid production from grass juice by sugar-based chain elongation

This study aims at the thermophilic production of caproic acid from substrates rich in carbohydrates. The microbial community of the fermentation reactor is studied to identify which microorganisms may participate in the production of caproic acid under thermophilic conditions.
