RNA sequence for developing EST-SSR maker of Artemisia fukudo

Artemisia fukudo is belong to Asteraceae, Artemisia family and one of the endangered species in Japan. This species is a halophytes, so its habitat is in brackish water area and shoreline. Population of this species are on a declining trend, but there are not enough information for conservation. SSR marker is expected to work as useful tool for genetic analysis and its results wll help to construct conservation unit. Therefore, we conducted RNA-seq of A. fukudo in this project.

福东蒿（Artemisia fukudo）隶属于菊科（Asteraceae）蒿属（Artemisia），为日本本土濒危物种之一。该物种为盐生植物（halophytes），其自然生境为咸淡水交汇区域与海岸带。目前该物种种群数量呈下降趋势，但针对其保护的相关基础数据仍较为不足。简单序列重复（SSR，Simple Sequence Repeats）标记作为有效的遗传分析工具，其应用结果将有助于构建该物种的保护单元。因此，本研究针对该物种开展了RNA-seq测序工作。
