The study aims to determine the molecular signature associated with varying applications of a novel skin vaccination array, compared to traditional needle and syringe immunization. The hypothesis is that the vaccination array induces a better immune response compared to the needle and syringe and this is due to a heightened inflammatory profile at the site of vaccination. We performed the study on wild-type mice that received varying forms of immunization, including intradermal needle and syringe with or without vaccine, Nanopatch with or without vaccine, Nanopatch with vaccine with QS-21 adjuvant, and Nanopatch with vaccine at higher application energy.

本研究旨在明确相较于传统针头注射器免疫方式,新型皮肤疫苗接种阵列在不同应用条件下对应的分子特征。本研究的核心假设为:相较于针头注射器免疫,该疫苗接种阵列可诱导更优的免疫应答,其机制在于疫苗接种部位的炎症反应谱更为显著。本研究以野生型小鼠为实验对象,对其施加了多种免疫处理方案,具体包括:皮内针头注射器免疫(含疫苗或不含疫苗)、纳米贴片(Nanopatch)免疫(含疫苗或不含疫苗)、搭载QS-21佐剂(QS-21 adjuvant)的纳米贴片疫苗免疫,以及采用更高施加能量的纳米贴片疫苗免疫。
