Mean species abundance (MSA) predictions across tiger range

These data are predictions of relative Mean Species Abundances (MSA) in
the tiger's current range. Detailed description of how the data were
created is available in the publication "Road development in Asia:
assessing the range-wide risks to tigers." The relative MSA values
predict the impact of infrastructure on mean species abundance of mammal
species in areas near roads compared to areas far from roads (control
areas) for regions relevant to tigers. Because fine-scale spatial data
on abundances of tigers and their prey across gradients of road
densities do not exist, we used MSA as a proxy estimate of road impact
on the abundances of tigers and their prey. These data were projected into Asia north azimuthal equidistant projection.<br>

本数据集为老虎当前分布范围内的相对平均物种丰度（Mean Species Abundances, MSA）预测值。本数据集的生成细节可参见已发表论文《亚洲道路开发：评估老虎分布全域的生存风险》（"Road development in Asia: assessing the range-wide risks to tigers"）。相对MSA值用于预测：在与老虎生存相关的区域中，相较于远离道路的对照区域，道路周边区域的基础设施对哺乳动物物种平均丰度的影响。由于目前尚无覆盖道路密度梯度的老虎及其猎物丰度精细空间数据，本研究采用MSA作为道路影响对老虎及其猎物丰度的替代评估指标。本数据集采用亚洲北方位等距投影（Asia north azimuthal equidistant projection）进行投影。
