Dataset for Ottaviani et al. (2022) Sticking around: plant persistence strategies on edaphic islands. Diversity and Distribution. <br> Persistence-related trait data for 13 plant species (5 clonal, 8 non-clonal) specialists of granite outcrop edaphic islands in the Czech Republic. Traits are: lateral spread, plant height, belowground organ dry matter content [BDMC], age, radial growth, storage tissue, vessel size. <br> Biogeographic and environmental predictors measured at each of the 20 studied edaphic islands: target effect [TE], soil fertility [PC1_soil_nut], soil sandiness [Soil_arid], soil depth mean [SD_mean], soil depth CV [SD_cv], PC1_clim, PC2_clim.
本数据集源自Ottaviani等人(2022)发表于《Diversity and Distribution》的研究论文《留存之道:基质岛屿(edaphic islands)上的植物存续策略》。
本数据集收录了捷克共和国境内花岗岩露头基质岛屿的13种植物特化种的存续相关功能性状数据,其中5种为克隆植物(clonal plant),8种为非克隆植物(non-clonal plant)。所涵盖的功能性状包括:侧向扩展能力、株高、地下器官干物质含量(belowground organ dry matter content, BDMC)、植株年龄、径向生长速率、贮藏组织特征、导管尺寸。
本研究同时测定了这20处基质岛屿的生物地理与环境预测变量,具体包括:目标效应(target effect, TE)、土壤肥力(PC1_soil_nut)、土壤砂性(Soil_arid)、平均土壤厚度(SD_mean)、土壤厚度变异系数(SD_cv)、PC1_clim以及PC2_clim。
