This study investigated aeolian sediment transport and spatial distribution of sediment in the surface soil for seven years following a prescribed fire using a multiple rare earth element tracer-based approach in a shrub-encroached desert grassland in the northern Chihuahuan desert. The data sets include data on: rare earth element tracer (REE tracers: holmium (Ho), Ytterbium (Yb), and Europium (Eu) on shrub, bare, and grass microsites, respectively) concentrations in sediment from aeolian sediment collectors and from soil, aeolian erosion rates (horizontal mass flux) and meteorological parameters.<br>
本研究以奇瓦瓦沙漠北部一处灌木入侵型荒漠草原为研究区域,采用多稀土元素示踪剂法,对规定火烧后七年时段内的风成沉积物搬运过程与表层土壤沉积物空间分布特征展开调查。本研究数据集涵盖以下数据:分别布设于灌木、裸地及草本微生境的稀土元素示踪剂(rare earth element tracer,REE):钬(Ho)、镱(Yb)、铕(Eu),在风积沉积物采集器沉积物与土壤沉积物中的浓度数据、风蚀速率(水平质量通量)以及气象参数。
