Aim: Changes during the COVID-19 pandemic might create pressure on different people, thus this studyaimed to measure respondents’ psychological distress during the early phase of the Omicron wave in JavaIsland. Methods: A web-based survey on societal influence and COVID-19-related psychological distresswas distributed through social media in November–December 2021, and received 396 responses. Results:This study showed that almost 50% of respondents faced psychological distress during the early phaseof the Omicron variant, especially concerning hypervigilance and avoidance. Several sociodemographicfactors might contribute to the incidence of psychological distress including comorbidity, age andeducation. Conclusion: Taken together, the incidence of COVID-19-related psychological distress was stillfound in the early phase of the Omicron variant, especially among young adults.<br>
研究目的:新冠疫情大流行期间的变化可能给不同人群带来压力,因此本研究旨在评估爪哇岛奥密克戎变异株浪潮早期受访者的心理困扰程度。<br>研究方法:2021年11月至12月期间,通过社交媒体分发了一项关于社会影响与新冠相关心理困扰的网络调查,共收到396份回复。<br>研究结果:本研究显示,近50%的受访者在奥密克戎变异株浪潮早期存在心理困扰,尤其表现为过度警觉(hypervigilance)和回避行为。多种社会人口学因素(sociodemographic factors)可能与心理困扰的发生相关,包括合并症(comorbidity)、年龄及教育程度。<br>研究结论:综上,新冠相关心理困扰在奥密克戎变异株浪潮早期仍有发生,尤其在年轻人群体中较为显著。
