Unveiling the rich and functionally diverse Southern Brazilian Highland Grasslands soil funga for promoting conservation

This study focused on exploring, for the first time, the soil mycobiota associated with Southern Brazilian Highland Grasslands at a local scale. We thoroughly sampled soils from three representative sites within a conservation unit and applied shotgun metagenomic sequencing to analyze soil fungal communities regarding their diversity, richness, and ecological aspects.

本研究首次在局域尺度下，探究与巴西南部高地草原相关的土壤真菌区系（mycobiota）。研究人员从某保护地内的3个代表性样地中系统采集土壤样品，并采用鸟枪宏基因组测序（shotgun metagenomic sequencing）技术，对土壤真菌群落的多样性、丰富度及生态学特征进行分析。
