We conducted a large-scale identification of protein degradation under light or dark condition in the model cyanobacterium Synechocystis PCC 6803 (Hereafter referred as Synechocystis) using the isobaric labeling based quantitative proteomics technique. This is the first discovery about redox-regulated protein degradation in cyanobacteria. Our results provide the first comprehensive catalog of the light-dependent protein degradation events, and would act as an important resource in future study toward understanding light-regulated processes and protein quality control mechanism in cyanobacteria.
我们以模式蓝藻集胞藻PCC 6803(以下简称集胞藻)为研究对象,采用基于同重同位素标记的定量蛋白质组学技术,对其在光照与黑暗条件下的蛋白质降解情况进行了大规模鉴定。本研究首次在蓝藻中发现了氧化还原调控的蛋白质降解现象。本研究结果首次构建了光照依赖型蛋白质降解事件的全面图谱,将为未来解析蓝藻中光调控过程与蛋白质质量控制机制的相关研究提供重要的参考资源。
