Figure S11. Ancestral state reconstruction of the ability to nodulate with the photosynthetic Bradyrhizobium strains in the genus Aeschynomene and allied genera. Ancestral state reconstruction was estimated in SIMMAP software using the 50% majority-rule topology obtained by Bayesian analysis of the combined ITS + matK sequences. Data on nodulation with photosynthetic Bradyrhizobium strains come from the present analysis and pertinent previously published data. Nodulation with photosynthetic Bradyrhizobium strains is considered positive only if reported as occurring naturally or being efficient in vitro. (XLSX 13 kb)
