Augmented expansion of Treg cells from healthy and autoimmune subjects via adult progenitor cell co-culture.

Here we expand Treg in the presence of Multipotent adult progenitor cells (MAPC(R)) and demonstrate significantly improved expansion when compared to Treg alone. Additionally, MAPC cell expanded Treg have a less exhausted more proliferative phenotype and display a unique gut homing phenotype, supporting the use of MAPC cell co-culture when developing adoptive Treg therapies.

本研究在多能成体祖细胞（Multipotent adult progenitor cells，MAPC(R)）存在的条件下扩增调节性T细胞（Treg），证实相较于单独培养的调节性T细胞，其扩增效率显著提升。此外，经多能成体祖细胞扩增的调节性T细胞呈现出耗竭程度更低、增殖活性更强的表型，并展现出独特的肠道归巢表型，这为开发过继性调节性T细胞疗法时采用多能成体祖细胞共培养方案提供了有力支撑。
