The main goal of the project is to provide insights into the mechanism governing social sex change in fish, using A. bicinctus as a model. Using transcriptomics to unravel differences in gene expression profiles throughout the sex change process we aim to identify main gene networks involved. Our analysis involves the two main organs thought to be involved, the brain and gonads.
本项目的核心目标是以A. bicinctus为模式生物,解析鱼类社会性性转变的调控机制。本研究通过转录组学(transcriptomics)技术,解析性转变全过程中的基因表达谱(gene expression profiles)差异,旨在鉴定参与该过程的核心基因网络。本次分析选取被认为参与该过程的两大主要器官——大脑与性腺(gonads)。
