The Geospatial Research, Analysis and Services Program, CDC/ATSDR Social Vulnerability Index (GRASP-CDC/ATSDR -SVI) database incorporates various socioeconomic factors, such as poverty, education, housing, and minority status, to identify areas that may be disproportionately affected by environmental and other disasters. By analyzing these factors, the SVI helps public health officials and emergency planners prioritize resources and interventions to support vulnerable communities and reduce disparities in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts. It covers 16 U.S. census variables and helps local officials identify communities that most likely need support before, during, and after public health emergencies.
(Geospatial Research, Analysis and Services Program-Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry Social Vulnerability Index,简称GRASP-CDC/ATSDR-SVI)数据库,纳入贫困、教育、住房、少数族裔身份等多项社会经济因素,用于识别可能受环境灾害及其他灾害不成比例影响的区域。
