Native Neighbours

<p>The analysis of four native-Roman settlements in Oss has shown that two major changes have taken place since the late Iron Age. Shifting farms were replaced by compound settlements at fixed locations. Within an enclosed spatial area farms were rebuilt on the same location. However, intra-settlement differences in lay-out, size, structure and finds are very obvious too.</p>

对奥西（Oss）地区四处罗马化本土定居点的分析表明，自铁器时代晚期以来，当地已发生两项重大变革：流动型农场被固定选址的复合型定居点所取代；在封闭的空间范围内，农场均在原址完成重建。不过，各定居点内部在布局、规模、结构以及出土遗物方面的差异同样十分显著。
