Crime Incident Mapping Application

The Crime Incident Mapping Application is designed to give the Public easy-to-use tools to search and query the Crime Database. Providing the Public with access to Crime records should help them make more informed decisions about their community while enhancing the Police departments transparency and support for the safety of our Citizens. The source of the Crime data is derived from the Long Beach Police department - Records Management System (RMS) during the past six months and is updated on a weekly basis. Crime records are categorized by the UCR code or "Crime Type" that can be filtered by Reported Date, Day of Week, Hour of Day, or Crime Type category. Based on the search information displayed on the map, Charting tools provide another view into the nature of the crime activity which is dynamically updated as the User Pan's or Zoom's to different areas on the screen.
