Dataset for WIBS develoment

This dataset contains the anonymized data used in the study entitled “Development and validation of a Social Cognitive Theory–based scale assessing determinants of water-intake behavior among Iranian adolescents.” The dataset provided in this repository comprises psychometric data collected using a questionnaire designed to assess determinants of water-intake behavior. The dataset includes two independent samples, designated as Samples A and B. Sample A was used for exploratory factor analysis (EFA), whereas Sample B was used for confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The dataset includes participants’ demographic characteristics and responses to questionnaire items representing relevant constructs of Social Cognitive Theory, including self-efficacy, outcome expectations, self-regulation, observational learning, and social support. These data were used to evaluate the psychometric properties of the instrument, including its construct validity and reliability. All data have been anonymized and contain no directly identifiable personal information. The dataset is provided to support transparency, reproducibility, secondary analysis, and verification of the findings reported in the associated manuscript.
