Sequencing Rickettsiales Genomes

This project is focused on improving our understanding of vector borne diseases caused by bacteria in the order Rickettsiales by obtaining further diverse genomes from the Anaplasma, Ehrlichia, Orientia, Rickettsia, and Neoehrlichia genera. The analysis is expected to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of host tropism, immune response, and pathogenicity/virulence as reflected in the isolates selected for sequencing.

本项目聚焦于通过获取无形体属（Anaplasma）、埃里希体属（Ehrlichia）、东方体属（Orientia）、立克次体属（Rickettsia）及新埃里希体属（Neoehrlichia）的多样化基因组，深化对由立克次体目（Rickettsiales）细菌引发的虫媒传染病的认知。本研究预期通过对筛选用于测序的分离株进行分析，阐明宿主嗜性、免疫应答及致病性/毒力的分子机制。
