Workshop notes UGOT

This dataset contains qualitative workshop notes and summary documents from the Swedish BIOTraCes case-study work on forest ownership, forest management, and landscape change. The archive includes workshop summaries and compiled notes from local discussions in the case-study areas of Ambjörnarp, Istorp, and Säve, as well as thematic workshop material relating to women forest owners and notes from a later stakeholder workshop. The material documents participants’ perspectives on alternative forest management, clear-cutting and continuous-cover forestry, biodiversity, climate-related risks, advisory systems, ownership structures, local knowledge, landscape history, and the practical conditions shaping forest management decisions. The notes were used as qualitative supporting material in the BIOTraCes analysis of forest-owner perspectives and local understandings of transformative change in forest landscapes. They provide contextual information on how forest owners and other participants describe opportunities, constraints, values, and tensions connected to more diverse, small-scale, and ecologically oriented forms of forest management. The dataset is intended as supporting qualitative material for case-study analysis. The files consist of workshop notes and synthesized summaries rather than full transcripts. They should therefore be interpreted as analytical and contextual documentation of workshop discussions, not as verbatim records of individual contributions.
