Characterization of potato pathogenic Streptomyces species present in Uruguay: emerging pathogens? Plant pathogenic Streptomyces produce common scab in potato. The disease has acquired global importance in recent years due to the emergence of new pathogenic strains such as S. turgidiscabies and S. acidiscabies. In addition it has been shown that the emergence of pathogenic strains has been associated with events of lateral gene transfer (LGT). Previously we conducted a population study in a collection of 70 pathogenic strains isolated from Uruguay during years 2010-2012. We showed the presence of S. scabies, S. acidiscabies, S.europaeiscabiei and a new group of pathogenic strains closely related to S. acidiscabies. In this study we selected representative strains of our sample and conducted whole genome sequencing.

乌拉圭境内马铃薯致病链霉菌属(Streptomyces)物种的特征鉴定:新兴致病菌? 致病链霉菌可引发马铃薯普通疮痂病。近年来,随着膨疮痂链霉菌(S. turgidiscabies)、酸疮痂链霉菌(S. acidiscabies)等新型致病菌株的出现,该病害已成为全球范围内备受关注的重要马铃薯病害。此外,已有研究证实,致病菌株的出现与侧向基因转移(Lateral Gene Transfer, LGT)事件存在关联。 此前,我们针对2010至2012年从乌拉圭分离得到的70株致病菌株集合开展了种群研究,发现该菌株集合中存在疮痂链霉菌(S. scabies)、酸疮痂链霉菌(S. acidiscabies)、欧洲疮痂链霉菌(S. europaeiscabiei),以及一类与酸疮痂链霉菌亲缘关系密切的新型致病菌株群。本研究选取该样本中的代表性菌株,开展全基因组测序工作。
