Haplotype-resolved Chromosome-Level Genome Assembly of Colonial Bentgrass (Agrostis capillaris)

Colonial bentgrass (Agrostis capillaris) is a widely used cool-season turfgrass valued for its resilience to stressed including drought and disease. We provide a haplotype resolved chromosome-level genome assembly generated using PacBio HiFi and Oxford Nanopore sequencing with Omni-C scaffolding. This high-quality genome provides a foundational resource for functional genomics and breeding efforts to improve disease resistance, abiotic stress tolerance, and turf quality.

匍匐剪股颖（Agrostis capillaris）是一种广泛应用的冷季型草坪草，凭借对干旱、病害等多种胁迫的优异耐受性而广受赞誉。本研究构建了一套经单倍型解析的染色体级基因组组装序列，其测序组装采用了PacBio HiFi测序、牛津纳米孔（Oxford Nanopore）测序技术，并结合Omni-C支架组装技术。该高质量基因组可为功能基因组学研究，以及旨在提升病害抗性、非生物胁迫耐受性与草坪品质的育种工作提供关键的基础资源。
