Rice MERISTEM ACTIVITYLESS1 (MAL1) is an RING-H2 finger domain (RFD) contained gene. To elucidate the molecular functions of MAL1 during crown root development, we generated MAL1 knock-down transgenic plants. MAL1 RNA interfering (RNAi) transgenic plants exhibited shorter crown root length and less crown root number phenotype accompanied by low cell division rate.Here we sought to find the downstream genes of OsMAL1 in rice crown root tip Genome-wide analysis of 5 day-after-germination crown root tip transcriptomes of MAL1 RNAi and corresponding wild type.
水稻MERISTEM ACTIVITYLESS1(MAL1)是一种含有RING-H2指结构域(RING-H2 finger domain,RFD)的基因。为阐明MAL1在水稻冠根发育过程中的分子功能,我们构建了MAL1基因敲低的转基因植株。MAL1 RNA干扰(RNA interfering,RNAi)转基因植株表现出冠根长度缩短、冠根数量减少的表型,同时伴随细胞分裂速率降低。本研究旨在鉴定水稻冠根根尖中OsMAL1的下游靶基因,并对萌发后5天的MAL1 RNAi转基因植株及其对应野生型植株的冠根根尖转录组开展全基因组分析。
