All participants in batch A were normotensive with desirable cholesterol levels and BMI ≤27. Participants in batch B showed minor differences in values for total cholesterol and BMI.
Normal values for each measurement are indicated in italics. CTL, healthy controls with fasting glucose <6.1 mmol/l; IFG, impaired fasting glucose with fasting glucose above 6.0mmol/l but less than 7.0 mmol/l; T2D, type 2 diabetes with fasting glucose greater or equal to 7.0mmol/l; TC, total cholesterol; LDL-C, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol; HDL-C; high-density lipoprotein cholesterol; SBP, systolic blood pressure; DBP, diastolic blood pressure.
