Aflatoxins, primarily produced by two phytopathogenic fungi, Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus, are among the most powerful carcinogens. The aflatoxin biosynthesis gene cluster contains 25 genes that are involved in aflatoxin production. Due to the differences in toxin-production among Aspergillus species and its correspondence with their genomics, election of the target gene has to be carefully studied to ensure RNA interference silencing success and efficacy.
黄曲霉毒素(Aflatoxins)主要由两种植物病原真菌——黄曲霉(Aspergillus flavus)与寄生曲霉(Aspergillus parasiticus)产生,属于目前已知最强效的致癌物之一。黄曲霉毒素生物合成基因簇(aflatoxin biosynthesis gene cluster)共包含25个参与黄曲霉毒素合成的基因。鉴于不同曲霉属物种的产毒能力存在差异,且该差异与其基因组特征存在对应关系,需对靶基因的筛选开展细致研究,以确保RNA干扰(RNA interference)的沉默效果与实验成功率。
