Risk of eating disorders and mental health problems among Bangladeshi adolescents

This study investigated the prevalence and association between eating disorders (EDs) and mental health problems among school and college students in Bangladesh. The data was obtained from a cross-sectional study using random sampling techniques with 1185 students from selected schools and colleges in Dhaka city in 2024. The Eating Attitudes Test questionnaire (EAT-26) was used to investigate ED symptoms, and the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scales (DASS-21) were used to measure the emotional states of depression, anxiety, and stress.

本研究针对孟加拉国中小学生与高校学生群体中进食障碍（Eating Disorders, EDs）与心理健康问题的患病率及其二者间的关联展开调查。研究数据来源于2024年在达卡市选定院校开展的横断面研究，通过随机抽样方法共纳入1185名学生。本研究采用进食态度测试问卷（Eating Attitudes Test, EAT-26）评估进食障碍相关症状，并使用抑郁、焦虑与压力量表（Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scales, DASS-21）测量抑郁、焦虑及压力三种情绪状态。
