Data used to fit discrete-choice models testing the response of female elk (<i>Cervus canadensis</i>) to prescribed burns within Starkey Experimental Forest and Range, NE OR, USA. For further details see "Fire history influences large-herbivore behavior at circadian, seasonal, and successional scales", Spitz et al. 2018 in Ecological Applications. <br>The US Forest Service are currently in the process of making an expanded version of this dataset publicly available through the US Forest Service Research Data Archive (https://www.fs.usda.gov/rds/archive/, search "Starkey"). The expanded data set will include comprehensive telemetry data from this study and related research (spanning approximately 30 years and multiple ungulate species) as well as more detailed metadata and documentation. Release of these additional data is scheduled for November 2018.<br>
