Video Dataset for Respiratory Rate Counting in Children

This dataset contains video recordings of chest movements of children under five years of age, captured for the purpose of respiratory rate (RR) assessment. The children presented at three different level of hospitals in Bangladesh with respiratory symptoms such as cough or breathing difficulty. Each child is assigned a unique child ID and has one associated video file in MP4 format, which visually documents their chest movements for RR counting. In addition to the video files, the dataset includes a Stata data file (.dta) containing complementary metadata. This file provides information on each child's demographic characteristics, reported clinical symptoms (e.g., cough, difficulty breathing), and respiratory rate as assessed by a trained video expert panel. This dataset supports research on automated or manual respiratory rate counting, clinical diagnostics, and pediatric respiratory health.本数据集包含针对5岁以下儿童胸部运动的视频录制内容，采集目的为呼吸频率（Respiratory Rate, RR）评估。这些儿童因咳嗽、呼吸困难等呼吸道症状，在孟加拉国三家不同等级的医院就诊。每名儿童均分配有唯一的儿童ID，并配有一个MP4格式的关联视频文件，该视频直观记录了其胸部运动过程，用于呼吸频率计数。除视频文件外，本数据集还包含一份Stata数据文件（.dta格式），其中附带补充元数据。该文件包含每名儿童的人口统计学特征、自述临床症状（如咳嗽、呼吸困难），以及经训练有素的视频专家小组评估得出的呼吸频率数据。本数据集可用于支持自动化或人工呼吸频率计数、临床诊断以及儿童呼吸道健康相关研究。
