Morphological data of cortical layer 6 neurons and synaptically coupled neuronal pairs

Structural properties of cortical neurons are closely related to their functions in brain microcircuits. Morphological data were collected by manually reconstructing the somatodendritic and axonal arborisation of individual layer 6 neurons and synaptically coupled neuronal pairs in the rat somatosensory (barrel) cortex using the Neurolucida system. These data are used for analysing neuronal morphological properties and could also be reused for neuronal modelling with realistic neuronal morphologies.

皮质神经元的结构特性与其在脑微环路中的功能密切相关。形态学数据通过使用Neurolucida系统手动重建大鼠躯体感觉（桶状）皮层中单个6层神经元的胞体树突结构（somatodendritic）及轴突分支（axonal arborisation），以及突触耦合的神经元对而获得。这些数据用于分析神经元形态学特性，亦可复用至具有真实神经元形态的神经元建模研究中。
