Cancer Drug Interactions

Nearly 60% of patients undergoing cancer treatment are estimated to have had at least one potential drug-drug interaction; for patients receiving oral anticancer therapy, up to 50% have been reported to experience a potential drug-drug interaction, with 16% experiencing a major event. Drug-drug interactions are therefore a significant issue for cancer patients and the health care professionals who treat them. Combining the internationally recognised drug-drug interactions expertise of the University of Liverpool (UK) with the clinical pharmacology in oncology and haemotology expertise of Radboud University, Nijmegen (the Netherlands), this site was established in 2017 in response to the need for improved management of DDIs with anti-cancer agents.据估算，近60%接受癌症治疗的患者至少出现过1次潜在药物-药物相互作用（Drug-Drug Interaction）；在接受口服抗癌治疗的患者中，已有报道显示高达50%的患者存在潜在药物-药物相互作用，其中16%发生了严重事件。因此，药物-药物相互作用是癌症患者及其接诊医护人员面临的重大临床问题。本平台整合了英国利物浦大学国际公认的药物-药物相互作用研究专长，与荷兰内梅亨拉德堡德大学在肿瘤学与血液学临床药理学领域的专业优势，于2017年正式设立，以满足抗癌药物联用中药物-药物相互作用（简称DDIs）优化管理的迫切需求。
