本数据集为2002至2013年间，依托KN223航次（搭载诺尔号（R/V Knorr）科考船）、KNOX02RR航次（搭载罗杰·雷维尔号（R/V Roger Revelle）科考船）以及大洋钻探计划（Ocean Drilling Program，ODP）第201航次，采集自北大西洋环流区、南太平洋环流区与秘鲁海盆的远洋沉积物中蛋白质类物质的蛋白质测定实验数据。沉积物样品通过重力取样器、多管取样器、活塞取样器与高级活塞取样器（Advanced Piston Corer，APC）获取。
