MES-4, an autosome-associated HMT that participates in silencing the X chromosomes in the C. elegans germ line

Microarray-based expression profiling of dissected gonads from mes-4 mutants reveals that MES-4 is required to repress expression of a set of X-linked genes. RNA was linearly amplified prior to labeling for all genotypes. Comparison was done in quadruplicate on independently grown and isolated animals.

我们从mes-4(bn85)突变体成虫中分离解剖性腺，并以野生型（N2品系）成虫的解剖性腺作为对照样本。所有基因型的样本在进行标记前，均对RNA进行了线性扩增。该对照实验设置四次生物学重复，所用动物均为独立培养并分离得到的个体。
