Shifting and Deepening Footprints of Extreme Summer Cyclones on Sea Ice in a Warming Arctic
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the processed data, Python scripts, and generated figures underlying the research article "Shifting and Deepening Footprints of Extreme Summer Cyclones on Sea Ice in a Warming Arctic". The study investigates the changing characteristics of extreme summer cyclones in the Arctic and their intensifying impacts on sea ice, atmospheric conditions, and the underlying ocean. Data/: Contains processed .npz and .npy files used for analysis and plotting. Key datasets include:Cyclone characteristics (frequency, tracks, intensity, motion direction).Sea ice metrics (Sea Ice Concentration - SIC, Sea Ice Volume - SIV, SIV Budget).Atmospheric and oceanic anomaly variables (e.g., MSLP, 2m temperature, heat fluxes, ocean temperature, salinity, mixed layer depth). Data Sources:The processed data is derived from primary reanalysis datasets, including ECMWF ERA5, JMA JRA-55, NASA MERRA-2 atmoshphere reanalysis, the PIOMAS sea ice reanalysis, and the GREPv2, TOPAZ4, GLORYS ocean reanalysis. Scripts/: Python scripts (.py or .ipynb) used to process the data, perform statistical/budget analyses, and generate all manuscript figures. Figures/: High-resolution visualization outputs (PDF and JPG formats) Usage Notes: Users can run the provided Python scripts in conjunction with the data files to reproduce the statistical analyses and figures presented in the main text and supplementary materials.
