Genome sequence analysis of Alteromonas sp. D210916BOD_24. Alteromonas sp.

Alteromonas sp. D210916BOD_24 was isolated from Seawater samples supplied from Suruga Bay through pipelines. The D210916BOD_24 strain displays polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) degradability, while the type strain closest to the D210916BOD_24 strain does not. Determining the reason for these results is one of the objectives of this sequence analysis.交替单胞菌属（Alteromonas sp.）菌株D210916BOD_24通过管道取自骏河湾供应的海水样本分离得到。该菌株具备聚羟基脂肪酸酯（polyhydroxyalkanoate, PHA）降解能力，而与其亲缘关系最近的模式菌株则无此能力。解析该实验现象的成因，是本次序列分析的研究目标之一。
