Yeast Torulaspora delbrueckii Genome sequencing and assembly

Recently, it has been found that T. delbrueckii yeasts isolated from mezcal fermenting process produced ß-fructofuranosidases with fructosyltransferase activity. Therefore, the genome sequencing of T. delbrueckii is interesting for the discovery of new genes with biotechnological interest.

近期研究表明，从梅斯卡尔酒（mezcal）发酵过程中分离得到的德氏酵母（T. delbrueckii）可产生具备果糖基转移酶活性的β-呋喃果糖苷酶（β-fructofuranosidases）。因此，对德氏酵母（T. delbrueckii）开展基因组测序，有助于发掘具有生物技术应用价值的新型基因。
