本数据集是首个全面的、空间分布式的北美流域形态测量数据集,空间分辨率为30角秒(约1公里)。该数据集基于HydroSHEDS提供的流向和汇流累积量数据,采用创新的“从上游到下游”计算框架,生成了9个核心的流域形态测量参数。此外,论文还提供了基于这9个核心参数计算另外21个衍生形态参数的公式。数据集按大洲组织,涵盖了全球主要大陆的流域特征。该数据集可广泛应用于水文建模、洪水与干旱模拟、地貌演化研究以及土地-大气相互作用分析等领域。数据质量通过了著名的Hack定律的验证,证明了其可靠性和一致性。
This dataset is the first comprehensive, spatially distributed North American watershed morphometric dataset with a spatial resolution of 30 arcseconds (approximately 1 km). It is developed based on the flow direction and flow accumulation data provided by HydroSHEDS, adopting an innovative "upstream-to-downstream" computational framework to generate 9 core watershed morphometric parameters. In addition, the accompanying paper provides formulas for calculating another 21 derived morphometric parameters from these 9 core parameters. The dataset is organized by continent, covering the watershed characteristics of major global continents. It can be widely applied in fields including hydrological modeling, flood and drought simulation, geomorphic evolution research, and land-atmosphere interaction analysis. The data quality has been validated against the renowned Hack's Law, confirming its reliability and consistency.
