eBird preprocessed observer-oriented dataset

Although the existing eBird Application Programming Interface (API) provides useful access to various aspects of eBird dataset, it does not provide a dataset based on observers. In this study, we introduce a restructured eBird theme dataset which centers on the aggregation and summary of each observer’s monthly observation to give a profile, as well as categorize each observation into a binary concept based on the observer’s travelling status. Our dataset spans from 2018 to 2022 including 10,447 species, 576,228 observers from 250 countries and regions. This dataset offers a fresh perspective upon the eBird dataset, enabling insights into observer behaviour and preference, thereby facilitating further exploration of this valuable resource.Our dataset is a derived dataset from eBird, abide by eBird's Data Access Terms and Conditions in the process of using eBird data, and share the derived data based on CC BY 4.0 at the request of Scientific Data.

eBird数据集是当前顶尖的公民科学数据源之一，为诸多研究项目提供了关键支撑。尽管现有的eBird应用程序编程接口（API）可便捷获取该数据集的多维度内容，但尚未提供面向观察者的专属数据集。

本研究构建了一套重构的eBird主题数据集：该数据集以每位观察者的月度观测数据聚合与总结为核心，生成观察者观测画像；同时基于观察者的出行状态，将每条观测记录归类为二分类标签。本数据集的时间跨度为2018年至2022年，涵盖250个国家与地区的10447个物种、576228位观察者。

本数据集为eBird数据集提供了全新的研究视角，可用于探究观察者的观测行为与偏好，从而推动对这一宝贵科研资源的进一步挖掘与利用。

本数据集为eBird的衍生数据集，在使用eBird原始数据过程中严格遵循其数据使用条款，并按照《科学数据》（Scientific Data）的相关要求，以CC BY 4.0协议共享本衍生数据集。
