Skin microbiome of forehead in children with and without acne

Whole genome sequencing of 48 volunteers, males and females, ages 7-17 years of age with and without acne. Tanner staging was used to assess pubertal development, IGA score assessed acne severity. A 7cm2 area of the forehead was scrubbed with a pre-moistened sterile, synthetic fiber swab for 30 seconds. Positive and negative sampling controls also included. Sequencing was performed by Illumina NextSeq sequencing (2x150 paired end reads).

对48名年龄介于7至17岁、患有或未患有痤疮的男女志愿者进行全基因组测序（Whole genome sequencing）。实验采用坦纳分期（Tanner staging）评估受试者的青春期发育状况，通过IGA评分评定痤疮严重程度。样本采集环节中，使用预湿润的无菌合成纤维拭子擦拭前额7平方厘米的区域，时长为30秒。实验同时设置了阳性与阴性采样对照。测序工作由Illumina NextSeq测序平台完成，采用2×150双端测序读长模式。
