Sequencing of 1000 fungal genomes to serve as the foundation for a reference database for studies of fungal metagenomics and the fungal metabolome. Selection of target taxa will aim to sample all orders and families of fungi, as well as major ecologies and morphologies, in order to well represent phylogenetic, ecological and functional fungal diversity.

本项目完成1000个真菌基因组的测序工作，旨在为真菌宏基因组学（fungal metagenomics）和真菌代谢组（fungal metabolome）相关研究构建参考数据库的核心基础。目标类群的选取将覆盖真菌的全部目、科级类群，以及主要的生态类群与形态类群，从而充分表征真菌的系统发育、生态及功能多样性。
