A number of studies have reported evidence of positive or negative contributions of galectin-9 (gal-9) to human and experimental malignancies. Some clinical observations and in vitro experiments suggest that cell-associated gal-9 has anti-metastatic effects. On the other hand, extra-cellular gal-9 consistently enhances tumor immune escape. The aim of this experiment is to study the impact of gal-9 gene invalidation in the colon carcinoma cell line CT26, in vitro. It complements the results of a RNAseq analysis carried out using the same cells, whose results are already available on Annotare (E-MTAB-9559)

多项研究均已报道,半乳糖凝集素9(galectin-9,下文简称gal-9)对人类恶性肿瘤及实验性肿瘤模型存在正向或负向调控作用。部分临床观察与体外实验结果显示,细胞结合型gal-9具有抗转移效应;与之相对,细胞外gal-9则持续促进肿瘤免疫逃逸。本实验旨在体外探究gal-9基因失活对结肠癌细胞系CT26的影响,并补充采用相同细胞开展的RNAseq分析结果,该分析数据已在Annotare(E-MTAB-9559)平台公开。
