Exome-Seq of murine CT26 cell line - WT and gal-9-KO - in vitro

A number of studies have reported evidence of positive or negative contributions of galectin-9 (gal-9) to human and experimental malignancies. Some clinical observations and in vitro experiments suggest that cell-associated gal-9 has anti-metastatic effects. On the other hand, extra-cellular gal-9 consistently enhances tumor immune escape. The aim of this experiment is to study the impact of gal-9 gene invalidation in the colon carcinoma cell line CT26, in vitro. It complements the results of a RNAseq analysis carried out using the same cells, whose results are already available on Annotare (E-MTAB-9559)

多项研究均已报道，半乳糖凝集素9（galectin-9，下文简称gal-9）对人类恶性肿瘤及实验性肿瘤模型存在正向或负向调控作用。部分临床观察与体外实验结果显示，细胞结合型gal-9具有抗转移效应；与之相对，细胞外gal-9则持续促进肿瘤免疫逃逸。本实验旨在体外探究gal-9基因失活对结肠癌细胞系CT26的影响，并补充采用相同细胞开展的RNAseq分析结果，该分析数据已在Annotare（E-MTAB-9559）平台公开。
