Using liquid chromatography combined with tandem mass spectrometry, we want to use quantitative proteomics of CD4+ T cells from relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) patients and healthy controls. Cells were left unstimulated or stimulated through the T cell receptor (TCR) in vitro allowing us to disentangle potential CD4+ T cell specific differences induced by T cell activation This will provide novel insights into disease mechanisms of MS.

本研究采用液相色谱-串联质谱联用技术(liquid chromatography combined with tandem mass spectrometry),对复发缓解型多发性硬化(relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, RRMS)患者与健康对照者的CD4阳性T细胞(CD4+ T cell)开展定量蛋白质组学分析。将细胞在体外分为未刺激组与经T细胞受体(T cell receptor, TCR)刺激组,以此厘清T细胞活化所诱导的CD4阳性T细胞的潜在特异性差异。本研究可为多发性硬化的发病机制提供全新的科学见解。
