The Precise Point Positioning Float AR 37 was deployed on 2019-07-24 at Cumberland. Cumberland is located in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. This device is a Precise Point Positioning - Float. These precise point positioning processors are modules as part of an aggregate systems for the Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) installations. Within these processors, specially designed filters are applied to Global Navigation Satellite System and accelerometer input data. The processors output supports epicentre location and magnitude estimates for the larger earthquake detection system. This category corresponds to the floating point ambiguity resolution (AR) stream. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
