PacBio SMRT whole genome sequencing of Southern Han Chinese ancestry H. sapiens

Building upon the original Human Genome Project, we are funded by NGHRI to improve the reference genome sequence by sequencing additional genomes that reflect the diversity of genomes in various ancestral groups including the Southern Han Chinese ancestry group. Through this work, the reference genome resource will be more useful for discovering disease-associated sequences in all population groups.

本研究依托初始人类基因组计划（Human Genome Project），获NGHRI资助，通过测序能够反映包括南方汉族祖先群体在内的多类祖先群体基因组多样性的新增基因组，以优化参考基因组序列。经此项工作后，该参考基因组资源将能更高效地助力全人群的疾病相关序列发掘研究。
