During the 2012 airborne remote sensing experiment conducted in the middle reaches region, soil respiration was measured using the "closed-chamber gas chromatography" method at various underlying surfaces. Six types of underlying surfaces were selected for measurement, including farmland, orchard, wetland, arid desert, Gobi, and sandy desert.
