Medieval Lantern Cross, Penzance churchyard

This rather battered medieval lantern cross can be found in the churchyard of St Mary's Church, Penzance, Cornwall. Legend has is that it was found close to the area now known as the Barbican, where an earlier chapel may have stood. Monuments in this churchyard are often vandalised, so a record of what is left of this monument, considering so little is known about it, is vital.
