An environmental bacterium, Aquamicrobium sp A3 has been found can degrade kanamycin. To access the degradation pathway , we performed genomic sequencing. Study of the degradation mechanism not only can uncover a distinctive enzymatic inactivation strategy of antibiotic and represent an effective and safe method for treating intractable kanamycin residue.

已有研究发现，环境细菌水微杆菌属（Aquamicrobium sp.）A3菌株可降解卡那霉素（kanamycin）。为解析其降解途径，本研究对该菌株开展了全基因组测序。对该降解机制的研究，不仅可揭示一种独特的抗生素酶促灭活策略，同时也为顽固性卡那霉素残留的处理提供了安全高效的可行方案。
