Elkhorn to Salinas watersheds 3m
收藏资源简介:
The purpose of this project was to create a high-resolution watershed layer that accurately reflects local watershed boundaries and area. With this information, extraction of other GIS data (e.g. NLCD land use) is possible in order to calculate variables that may influence environmental conditions in Elkhorn Slough. This is an unpublished dataset created by Charlie Endris at the Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve (2013). Delineation was performed in ArcGIS v10.1 using the Spatial Analyst Hydrology toolset. a combination of 3 meter and 10 meter digital elevation models (DEM’s), obtained from the National Elevation Dataset (NED) and distributed by the USGS . Specifically, McCluskey, Elkhorn, and Moro Cojo watersheds reflect the watershed boundaries acquired using the 3 m DEM. The Gabilan/Tembladero and Salinas watershed boundaries were acquired using a 10 m DEM since coverage of the 3 m DEM is incomplete. The shared boundary of the Moro Cojo, Elkhorn and Gabilan/Tembladero watersheds is based on the 3 m DEM. Note that hydrologic modification due to large-scale agricultural land use may result in slight inconsistencies between the locations of actual drainage dikes and the watershed boundaries presented here.
