1-D Fjord Basin Model and CTD Casts from Fiordland, Aotearoa / New Zealand from 2012 - 2025

CTD casts in this dataset have been collected by three groups: Department of Marine Science, University of Otago as part of their annual field school (2015 - 2025) The research programme "Natural carbon sequestration in our southern fjords – a pathway towards carbon neutrality", funded by a Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment Endeavour Grant (Contract UOOX2101) (2021 - 2025) Regular cruises undertaken by the Department of Conservation (2023 - 2025) A 1-D hindcasting model written in Fortran with python bindings has been included, along with necessary data to run the model at two locations in Patea / Doubtful Sound, using boundary conditions from the BluelinkReANalysis product 2023 and the resulting output files.
