Genetic Profiling of Biofilm Forming Clinical Isolates of Candida tropicalis. Candida tropicalis

Candida tropicalis is a prominent non-Candida albicans Candida (NCAC) species that causes superficial as well as life-threatening infections and common cause of nosocomial infections in India. Understanding C. tropicalis drug resistance is of great importance because of the recalcitrant strains of C. tropicalis causing long term and persistent infections and hyper inflammation. The aim of this study was to understand the genetic basis of etiology of the locally obtained clinical isolates of C. tropicalis.

热带念珠菌（Candida tropicalis）是一类重要的非白念珠菌念珠菌（non-Candida albicans Candida, NCAC）物种，既可引发浅表感染，也可导致致命性感染，同时是印度院内感染的常见致病菌。鉴于热带念珠菌的难治性菌株可引发长期持续性感染与过度炎症反应，解析该菌的耐药性具有重要意义。本研究旨在阐明本地获取的热带念珠菌临床分离株致病病因的遗传学基础。
