Avocado genetic analysis of Colombia using Illumina sequencing

A total of 144 accessions from the Colombian national germplasm bank (i.e., 129 natives and 15 commercial trees) and 240 materials from plantations at the Colombian Northwest Andes (i.e., 73 native trees and 167 rootstocks of grafted trees from 8 plantations) were genotyped using a genotyping strategy based on sequencing to discover SNP markers to analyze at the genetic level this germplasm.

本研究共纳入两类实验种质材料：其一为来自哥伦比亚国家种质资源库的144份种质资源，其中包含129份本土树种材料与15份商业栽培林木；其二为采自哥伦比亚安第斯山脉西北部8个人工林种植园的240份材料，具体包括73份本土树种以及167株嫁接树砧木。本研究采用基于测序的基因分型策略对上述所有材料进行基因分型，以发掘单核苷酸多态性（Single Nucleotide Polymorphism，SNP）标记，进而对该批种质资源开展遗传水平分析。
