Sarcopenia after Bariatric surgery in Older Adults (SABO)

This cross-sectional study investigated sarcopenia and low muscle mass by comparing adults older than 65 years with previous MBS (BAR) to patients following non-surgical obesity management (CON). The dataset contains data for 100 study participants, inlcuding medical history, anthropometry and body composition, assessment of sarcopenia, dietary intake including a focus on selenium and protein intake, and blood biochemistry, including a focus on selenium status.
